Flip-Fold Fairies

I am having so much fun with the flip-fold albums from Heartfelt Creations!! I especially love the newest inserts - E and F -but mostly E. This packet includes two mini albums that can be added to the flip-fold album (which I have done in one for a gift...so I can't show that one yet) or used on their own as I have done here.....

I used the Wildwood Cottage Collection that has the most adorable little fairies!! I cut a second fairy and gate with the coordinating dies and added them to the cover with dimensionals. And, don't you just love that fancy scroll-y piece on the front? That is part of the Regals Borders and Pockets die set...they are gorgeous!!! This little album has a hidden magnet closure so it doesn't fall open. But, when you open it, you can see there are lots of places to add your photos.....

The pages in the center each flip up to reveal another 6x6 area to add pictures and journaling. These coordinate so well with the paper collection which has 6x6 panels that can simply be cut apart and added to these pages. Easy peasy!!! It just doesn't get any easier to create a mini scrapbook for a special occasion like a birthday, baby or bridal shower, or any fun thing you want to create a keepsake for. These are just tooo fun!!!.......

The pages flip up easily and photos can be added to both sides. These are such a great gift for anyone who likes to have handy little albums to share with friends and family....and what a great idea for shower gifts! I will be making lots of these!!

I hope this project has inspired you to explore fun ways to create keepsakes for your precious memories....."Til next time....

Flowering Dogwoods

I just love the Flowering Dogwood collection from Heartfelt Creations! It is their newest collection and just in time for Spring and Easter. The subtle colors and gorgeous blossoms open up a whirlwind of possibilities! After using them on my design team call entry, I began thinking of some other project I could do with them. I have a dear friend who lives in Kansas City and she has the absolute cutest twins who just turned 4. I was thinking of doing something with a picture of each them. So, I went searching through her photos on facebook and came across the perfect picture....it was just the whole family instead of only the twins.

So, the wheels starting turning......I started by printing their photo on heavy white cardstock....

See what I mean.....are those little sweeties just too cute?? I have never met them but I look forward to the day that I do. Anyway, back to business. They recently moved into their new home that seemed to take a lifetime for the builder to finish so I decided to create something as a "housewarming" gift. I chose what seemed to be the perfect background page and started going a little crazy....those of you who know me know that it does happen often...lol! I stamped, sponged, and cut flowers and leaves. Then I cut a few of the awesome doily-type shapes with the Raindrops on Roses die (oh my gosh, I love that set). I matted the photo using Stampin Up Sweet Sugarplum and Mossy Meadow cardstock. I used Sweet Sugarplum and Memento Summer Sky ink to color the flowers. I shaped them with the Flower Shaping Tool from Heartfelt Creations (don't know how I have made flowers for so many years without it) and then touched them up with some glitter.

The colors blended together perfectly!! Could not have asked for anything better! I put it a 12x12 white shadowbox frame, made a little notecard and packed it up for the postman! And then I thought....way to go! You forgot to take a photo of the total finished project and the notecard...duh! Well, thankfully Hope loved the picture and shared it with her friends and family on her fb page....Thank you, Hope!!!! So, here it is.....

I love the way it turned out, too. And I am so happy she loves it! Sharing my love of papercrafting and bringing a smile to someone's face is the reason I do this. Makes my heart happy!!

To create the card, I found a small panel that matched the background page that I had used...how cool is that!! So, I cut it out and attached it the front of a 4 1/4x 5 1/2-inch card base. I found a thin border that says "Spring is in the Air" and cut a piece long enough to have it on twice. I added it to the card by just putting a drop of the Dries Clear Adhesive on each end and then glued it down so the center is raised a bit. Then I cut a little tag that says "Just a Note" and attached it close the end of the banner using the Dries Clear. It was so awesome that I could make the card match!!

Hope was even kind of enough to add a close-up photo of the dogwoods for me...lol! My, my, I do not know where my head was with this one.... I guess I was just trying hard to get it finished up and ready to ship out! So, here they are up close and personal.....

Looking closely, you can see the glitter accents and those adorable little prills that fill the center of the blossoms. I just love those little buggers!!! Can't hardly make a flower without them now!

Well, I hope you found something in this project that will inspire you to create a keepsake of your own. Be sure to visit Heartfelt Creations for some really great products!! 'Til next time.......

So Excited!!!!

Oh my gosh!!! I am so excited!!! I have been chosen as one of the semifinalists for the new Heartfelt Creations design team!! Never in a million years did I think I would be chosen....but I thought it was worth the try. My heart is pounding!!! These are the projects I submitted....

This card was made using the shadowbox technique with the Sunrise Lily collection. I love these lilies!! They are so easy to shape! And that verse has got to be my all-time favorite! This was my very first Heartfelt Creations collection and I have been hooked ever since!

I did this scrapbook page using the Sparkling Poinsettia collection. Beautiful paper for Christmas projects!! This one has a very special place in my heart.....my great niece, Evie, was afraid of Santa this year. So her grandfather, my younger brother, grew a beard and borrowed a Santa suit so she wouldn't be afraid anymore. The love on her face looking up at him melts me every time! Luckily, he doesn't visit my blog so he won't see it before he receives it for his birthday!

My final submission was this little glass block that I have been hanging onto for just the right project. When I got the new Flowering Dogwood collection, I just had to bring it out. I have a mixture of paper and vellum dogwoods climbing up the vine. Inside the block is a string of 20 clear lights. And when you light it up....it looks pretty cool on my mantle!

I hope you enjoy my projects and that you have been inspired to create your own.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting,

Feeling Froggy....

I have been having so much fun playing with my Heartfelt Creations collections! In honor of Valentine's Day this week, I decided to get out my "Winking Frog" products. These little fellas are just too cute!! I don't have a valentine of my own anymore, but I know some pretty cute couples so I just thought about them and came up with this......

It is so easy to make cards with these beautiful collections!! I cut one of the many pictures from the cardstock, layered it on Basic Black cardstock and then onto a Thick White card base. I stamped the sentiment right onto the picture with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped the lily pad and the flowers with Tuxedo Black ink onto scraps of the Thick White cardstock. I like to use that because the die cuts are a little heavier and hold their shape well after working with the Flowering Shaping Tool. I used a blender pen to color the lily pads with Olive Grove Memento ink and the flowers with Rose Bud Memento ink. I added "Lettuce Entertain You" prills to the centers of the flowers. I attached them all with the Dries Clear Adhesive (I call it my "super glue").

It looks like I worked all day on this but, honestly, I had it finished in no time! I hope you enjoy it and that it inspires you to get crafting!!

Til next time....

Botanic Orchids

Oh my gosh....it has been so long since I have posted! I have made lots of projects but just haven't taken the time to do photos and post them here. Well, I am going to change that. I have really missed sharing with all of you!

I have found some fantastic new products that I have been working with and one of my favorite new companies is Heartfelt Creations. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their stuff!! The colors are gorgeous, the papers are divine, and they have dies with all of their stamp sets!! So easy to make gorgeous cards! And the best product of all is their Flower Shaping Tool!!! Makes it a simple process to add awesome dimensional flowers to any project.

Today I made this card for my daughter-in-law......

I used a panel from the Botanic Orchid collection and attached it to the Botanic Window frame. I cut a piece of the designer paper and layered it onto a white base card and then mounted the window frame with dimensionals. I stamped and cut 3 of the small Botanic Orchids, cut them out and shaped them with the Flower Shaping Tool, and added some glitter to the edges of the petals before gluing them to the card. They carry Dries Clear Adhesive that is amazing!! I will most likely never use snail adhesive again....it is awesome!!
.with these papers so it will be a great way to use up the seemingly endless supply of cardstock that I have accumulated over the years..lol!

I just love the way this turned out and I hope Leah loves it as well!

You can buy this fantastic collection of paper, stamps, and dies here... www.heartfeltcreations.us.

Check them out....you will not be disappointed!!

Until next time......

Happy Stamping,
Laurie

Graphic 45 Mother's Day Card

We are still on lockdown here in Michigan, so I have been digging into my stash of papers. I had planned to use the beautiful Time To Flouri...
