Note Card box

I have been very busy with some new items that I found. Graphic 45 Mixed Media boxes and Book Boxes have taken over my craft life!! They are just too much fun to decorate and they can be used for lots of different things....I just LOVE them!!

This is the latest one that I created for my neighbor.....

The box actually comes in a color much like the Kraft color Stampin' Up carried. But, the paper that I used really looked better with a black background so I painted the box with acrylic paint. Worked like a charm :) Then I started playing......

I used the Isabella Collection from Bo Bunny Press because she wanted something focused on butterflies. I love the colors in this collection as I can coordinate them nicely with my Stampin' Up cardstock. I used Pretty In Pink (retired but still a fave), Basic Black, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White. The box comes with three large tags that you can decorate and use on gift if you choose or you could scrap a photo on them. I chose to designate them as gift tags.........

I just used images from the paper and added some lace flowers and a bow. They hook together with a large book ring that also comes with the box....love that I don't have to buy the rings!

The paper collection also has some great images that I thought would make cute note cards so I purchased the note cards from Stampin' Up and put 6 of them in the set......

Aren't they sweet? They are just the perfect size to send a little note to a friend :) And it such a plus that they come with envelopes! I didn't have to do any stamping at all with these which means they aren't very time consuming at all. The prep time is the longest part of the project.

The last thing to do was decorate the front of the box. I had some fabric flowers left over from another project so I gathered them up along with some more of the lace flowers and some pretty pink flowers and got out the hot glue gun :) I found a spool of pearls on a string that I thought would be a great addition to the ribbon bow and I love the Tim Holtz locks that are very vintage. I also had some Graphic 45 keys so I added one of those to the bow.......

I added some butterflies that I cut using some Memory Box dies from two of the papers. I wanted something that looked lacy and these did the trick nicely......

It was just the right touch. I also attached a chipboard sticker with dimensionals for that "little extra."

I love these boxes because once you have used the tags and sent out the note cards, you still have a box for special treasures. It would be great for special souvenirs and keepsakes or anything else you want to keep inside. Or you could just use it as an accent piece in your favorite room.

Well, I have 8 more of these to do so I should get to work :) So glad you stopped by today so I could share my project and hopefully you got some inspiration to create your own keepsake box. 'Til next time...............

Happy Scrapping,

Laurie

Graphic 45 Mother's Day Card

We are still on lockdown here in Michigan, so I have been digging into my stash of papers. I had planned to use the beautiful Time To Flouri...
