More Fun with Pansies

I really love the Burst of Spring collection from Heartfelt Creations. These little pansies are so fun to create with. For this project, I used a fun tutorial by Kim Rannells to make a cute little folio.....

I love the little teacup full of posies....it is just too sweet! I used Ranger Archival Dark Purple and Memento Lulu Lavender ink to color the pansies in the cup. The two at the bottom are actually cutouts from the paper collection. So easy to just cut out and shape with the 3-D Pansy Flower Shaping Mold. I colored the teacup with the Daffodil Delight dark and light Stampin' Blends from Stampin' Up and the two shades of the Old Olive Stampin' Blends for the leaves. I cut the lacy panel from the Diamonds and Lace die set from Heartfelt Creations and added Highland Heather organza ribbon from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration to the ends. I love how the colors of these two companies compliment each other. The folio opens up as a trifold album...…

The patterns on this paper are absolutely gorgeous!! It makes it so simple to beautifully showcase your photos. The top flap has a border of pansies and the bottom flap folds down to reveal the center.....

I used the Highland Heather ribbon to tie the center closed. And I used a strip from one of the sheets to cover the pocket on the inside of the bottom flap....

The center opens to reveal two fold-out side flaps. They fold like an accordion to offer more places for photos....

This is so easy to make! It uses no chipboard...just linen cardstock for the base and then the patterned paper layered on. But it is very sturdy and would be a great Mother's Day gift. I can see it done with baby themed paper for a baby shower or in a beautiful floral for a wedding shower. The possibilities are endless with this little gem! For the back I chose one of the many beautiful images on the paper that provide beauty without a lot of extra work....

I can also smell those pansies in the vase!! This collection is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I think the cover of this would also make a great card! Will definitely have to try that.
I hope this project has inspired you to make something today. Thanks for stopping by and letting me share with you...'til next time!

Happy Crafting,

Laurie
